We’re excited to announce that Flint Town Council will be hosting an Age and Dementia Friendly Coffee Morning starting Thursday, April 3rd, and continuing every Thursday at the Town Hall from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
This initiative is aimed at creating a welcoming and supportive space for individuals, carers and families to enjoy free refreshments, meet others in the community, and connect in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring people together and ensure everyone feels supported and included.
Flint Town Council, in partnership with Job Centre Plus, is thrilled to announce the Flint Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair, taking place on Thursday, 13th February 2025, at Flint Town Council. This exciting event aims to connect residents and Pupils Years 10-13, with a variety of employment and apprenticeship opportunities offered by respected employers.
The fair will feature a wide range of organisations, providing attendees with the chance to explore career paths, discover apprenticeship programs, and gather valuable insights into the current job market.

The Mayor, Councillor M. Buckley on behalf of Flint Town Council is hosting an Armed Forces Day Flag Ceremony on Saturday 29th June, 2024 at 10.30 am at the Cenotaph to commemorate the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for the people who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.
As well as marking the contribution of service personnel past and present, Armed Forces Day also aims to raise public awareness of the military and the roles they undertake in Britain and around the world.
Residents of Flint are invited to attend the ceremony to mark this important day. Lights refreshments will be served in the Town Hall after the ceremony.

The Mayor of Flint, Cllr. Ben Goldsborough, alongside Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Mel Buckley, recently paid a visit to the 2518 (Flint) Air Training Corps (ATC) to witness firsthand the incredible training and development opportunities provided to the youth of Flint.
During their visit, Cllr. Goldsborough and Cllr. Buckley had the privilege of observing the cadets engage in various activities, ranging from learning to fly on a flight simulator to working with cutting-edge communications equipment to monitor frequencies worldwide. They also witnessed the induction of new recruits, field training exercises involving camouflage techniques, and simulations for flight conditions, showcasing the comprehensive and hands-on approach to training offered by the ATC.
Flint Town Council, in partnership with Flint High School, is excited to announce the Joint Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair, scheduled to take place on Thursday, 11th April 2024, at Flint High School. This collaborative initiative aims to connect the local community with various employment and apprenticeship opportunities provided by esteemed employers.
The event will feature a diverse array of organisations, spanning industries such as defence, finance, aerospace, local government, education, engineering, automotive, beauty and manufacturing.
Pupils in Years 10-13 from the Flintshire area and their parents, along with residents from the local community are encouraged to attend and explore the vast array of employment prospects and apprenticeship programs available. The doors will open at 3.30pm until 5.30pm, allowing attendees to interact with representatives from the participating organisations, learn about career paths, and gain insights into the current job market.
Mayor of Flint, Cllr. Ben Goldsborough, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating:

The Town Hall will open to public on Saturday 25th March, 2pm – 4pm. It will be an opportunity for the public to come and see this historical building and all the wonderful paintings and memorabilia. We will have a guide for public to read and Councillors and Staff will be on hand to help and answer any questions.
We will also be serving complimentary tea / coffee and biscuits.
