Repair Cafe

Next Date

The Repair Café is a monthly pop-up event where volunteers fix household items for free in order to reduce waste, teach skills and bring the community together.

We are Seeking Volunteer Fixers at the Repair Café, could you volunteer once a month for 2 hours? You don’t need to be a professional fixer to get involved; all you need is to be confident, competent and happy to give your time to make a positive difference to the environment, and to your local community.

Typical household item repairs include:

  • Electrical items e.g.toasters, kettles, vacuum cleaners
  • Clothing e.g.jeans, bags, shirts (sewing/textiles)
  • IT e.g.PCs, laptops
  • General e.g.toys, ornaments, small furniture, woodwork
  • Bikes e.g.basic bike maintenance

Also on a Wednesday at the Town Hall, we hold our Community Cafe, so you can enjoy a free cuppa, biscuits and a chat whilst your items are being repaired.

Please note the Repair Cafe does not run in August or December.

This is a recurring event. Repeating every last Wednesday.
