All-day event
To celebrate St David’s Day once again Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam is arranging a St David’s Day window dressing competition.
In order to compete we would like you to decorate your business window with things related to Wales and St David. We will be looking specifically for the following:
• General appearance (imagination, originality and flair!)
• Use of the Welsh language
• Appropriate use of colours and symbols
We ask that the decorations be in place between 24th February and 4th of March. A representative of Flint Town Council will be judging the best display and awarding a prize to the winning business.
Thank you and good luck!
You can also celebrate on March the 1st by:
• Encouraging staff members to wear a daffodil or a leek.
• Reminding Welsh speaking staff to wear an orange ‘Working Welsh’ badge –contact us if you need any.
• Offering a Welsh themed menu such as Cacennau Cri (Welsh Cakes), Bara Brith, Cawl
• Creating bilingual signs and menus.
• Translation support is available through ‘Helo Blod’ – a FREE Welsh translation and advice service to help you use more Welsh in your business or charity (up to 500 words per month can be translated free of charge). Take a look gov.wales/HeloBlod
